About Us

“Forklifts of Des Moines” was founded in 1976 as “Clarklift of Des Moines, Inc.” by Chuck and Ellie Radcliff and has been family-owned ever since then through three generations! We solidify our foundation on excellent customer service and by providing quality, reliable solutions that meet or exceed our customers’ material handling needs. In 1996 Clarklift expanded west, opening “Clarklift West”, serving Nebraska and Western Iowa.

Clarklift of Des Moines, Inc., to provide a broader range of material handling solutions, expanded product offerings. In 2011 we felt it was time for a name change to better reflect the wide range of material handling solutions we can offer our business partners. January 1, 2011, Clarklift of Des Moines Inc. began doing business as Forklifts of Des Moines and Forklifts of Omaha.

Over the past 45 years of servicing the material handling industry, Forklifts has grown and developed into a full-line authorized dealer for Clark Material Handling Company, UniCarriers Americas Lift Trucks, Sellick Rough Terrain Forklifts, Xtreme Manufacturing Tele-Handlers, & Snorkel Scissor Lifts & Aerial Equipment. With our extensive inventory, you are bound to find what you are looking for! Our Sales team offers 70+ years of combined experience, allowing us to provide a wide range of critical products, and the right forklift at a moment’s notice. This includes batteries, chargers, battery handling products, specialty attachments, rack systems, dock equipment, safety lights, stretch wrappers, and many other allied material handling products. We also offer a wide variety of leasing options, ensuring the proper solution for our customers’ various applications.

Forklifts Parts and service departments understand that our customers have no time for down time. stocking an extensive inventory of parts and accessories, Our inventory software and database ensures you will have the correct part the first time! We are committed to providing the parts our customers need in a timely manner, with responsive service. Our factory trained advisors and service technicians combine for 180 years of total experience! Our technicians span across Iowa and Nebraska, assisting our customers with preventative maintenance programs, on-site maintenance providing service history reports, and equipment evaluations with recommended repairs on all equipment that we service. Forklifts Rental Department utilizes a large fleet of current model lift trucks, consisting of 100+ units! Pallet jacks, rough terrain models and specialty lift trucks available in LP, Diesel, & Electric with Lift capacities ranging from 3,000 to 36,000 pounds, offering Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Seasonal solutions
